Your Guide To Glitter

Bodyography is known for our best-selling, cult-favorite Glitter Pigments - but some still shy away from this magical product and even glitter as a whole! Here are some pointers to make sure you’re wearing this beautiful accessory [glitter] with style! 

These best-sellers have been featured in top publications, worn by celebrities, loved by professional makeup artists, and continue to be our top-selling product! 

Firstly, glitter should be fun and playful, it can also be natural and glamorous - depending on how you apply it and what color scheme you decide on. So remember, have fun with it AND if you don’t like it - wipe it off and try something else (but we know you’ll LOVE it)...

We always recommend starting with your 5 Steps to a Flawless Canvas. That way you’re ready to add some color and dimension. Start by shaping and filling in your brows, they will act as a frame for your face and capture your eye look perfectly. 

Now for the fun part...our Glitter Pigments come in 16 + shades, there is definitely a shade for everyone! You can create a base if you’d like with either an eyeshadow primer like Canvas Eye Mousse, your concealer, or a liquid or stick product like Crystal Glide Liquid Eyeshadow or Shadow Stylist Crayon - this will add dimension and give your glitter longevity, but it is not necessary. 

Bodyography Glitter Pigments are primer infused, this ensures that they stay all day and don’t crease! We like to apply these beauties straight from the pot onto the lids with fingertips! Remove the plastic topper (don’t throw away) and saturate your finger in the product, apply directly to the eyelid from the lash line upwards, tap on more for extra sparkle and dimension. Take a fluffy brush or a clean finger and blend out the edge, so that there is a soft transition. The beauty of these glitter pigments is in the ease of application and intensity of shine and pigment, they look as if you’ve done a lot more than just swipe glitter onto your lids - instant glamour! 

If you want an even more opaque look, try saturating your eyeshadow brush with a setting spray, this will create more of a foiled metallic effect, instead of an ethereal glitter look - both effects are stunning! 

One of our favorite and easiest ways to wear our Glitter Pigments is a ‘spotlight’ effect. Pick a light and reflective shade like Sparkler, Bubbly, Halo, or Stratus and dot the product onto the center or ball of the eyelid - this will create a halo or spotlight effect on your lids and twinkle every blink you make. 

Pair your favorite Glitter Pigment with Mascara and your look is complete, for a more dramatic effect line the top line with On Point Liquid Liner Pen!
