The 90's

Jennifer Lopez sprung onto the scene in the 90s. Her look was fresh-faced, but she always wore a statement lip, from brick (as seen here) to berry and even deep brown. Barely-there makeup with a vampy lip was very trendy in the 90s; Jennifer was spot on.

2000

We will never forget the iconic look JLO wore to the MTV Music Awards in 2000; from the bandana and hoops to the micro bedazzled tank top and braids, this look was all Y2K.

One of our favorite JLO beauty moments is this bouncy pin-up do and blush pink monochrome makeup look. She always looks gorgeous, but we love that this look departs from her famous golden glow. Jennifer made a statement with this look, it's a throwback to retro/vintage glamour, and she indeed looks like a movie star. The skin is kept flawless with light bronzing around the perimeters of the face and babydoll blush on the cheeks. The eyes were striking yet subtle, with an ombre wash of light to mid-tone pink, long lashes, and no liner. Lips are lined with a nude liner, and a pink nude gloss applied on top.

2018

This is a JLO look we all know and love; it is a different iteration of her favorite look: long golden beige hair, perfectly sculpted tan skin, smoky eyes, and a nude lip. Just like Jennifer, this makeup look is timeless and why we have seen it repeatedly. At the 2018 MTV MUSIC AWARDS, Jennifer embraced her signature look, the main differences being a softer brow, both shape and color, a smoky eye with no liner, and a simple glossy lip.
